The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is reminding all saltwater anglers they must register with the New Jersey Saltwater Recreational Registry Program (NJSRRP) prior to fishing in 2013. Registrations expire at the end of each calendar year and must be renewed annually.

New Jersey does not have a saltwater license. WHO NEEDS TO REGISTER? NOTE: Anglers with a valid registration with the National Saltwater Angler Registry or have a valid license from another exempted state are required to register (for free) with the NJ Saltwater Recreational Registry Program.

With the return of the spring fishing season, the Department of Environmental Protection is reminding all saltwater anglers and owners of for-hire vessels in New Jersey to register or re-register online with the state's free saltwater fishing registry.
