Ultimately the two competitors became one: Queen City purchased Cumberland Brewing in 1958, and was itself purchased in the 1970s by Pittsburgh Brewing Company.

17 Ιουν 2009 · Queen City’s Old German and the Cumberland Brewing Company’s Old Export beer were great rivals for the favors of local beer drinkers. Old Export’s slogan was, “Mountain Water Makes the Difference,” and the brand lived on for a time after it was sold to Queen City in 1969.
