For some weird reason, the installer will literally not work if it's the online version, but it works fine if I install the offline version. I've been searching online for quite sometime, but I only found a really outdated version of the offline version.

16 Σεπ 2021 · I am trying to download opera gx on my laptop but it is not working. I have a lot of storage space and good wifi connections. It has been a few days and it still hasn't download. Is there a way to stop the download or speed it up, if so, thanks in advance. @kingslayer999 Try downloading the offline installer.

17 Μαρ 2024 · When I looked where opera.exe is located (in my case C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Programs\Opera) and in the same folder I found opera-new.exe file I lunched this one and opera run without any problems. Latter I noticed that opera-new.exe file was automatically substituted with opera.exe file and the opera-new.exe was no longer there.

So, i have a 25MB/S internet, with a 3MB/S download speed, but recently, Opera GX is downloading things at 300KB/S, can anyone help me fix that? @l1nkeed VPN enabled by chance? Are you checking in several sites and in several times of the day? @leocg No, my VPN is not enabled, i never turned it on.
