The Traditional BSN program is designed for students with no previous preparation in nursing. Under the direct supervision of its faculty members, the School of Nursing uses hospitals, health agencies and long-term care facilities in the community to provide optimal clinical learning experiences for students.
The School of Nursing offers direct admission to the traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The PLU Nursing program does not require a separate application to be considered. Your application to PLU is also your application for direct admission to Nursing.
The Pacific Lutheran University School of Nursing has a distinguished history of educating students for leadership and lives of service. We view nursing as a caregiving process rooted in scientific knowledge, humanistic theory and health care technology.
When you are ready to start our ABSN admission process, our goal is to make it as straightforward as possible. As a prospective student, you will work with an assigned admissions representative who will be there to champion your entry into nursing school.
During our 16-month accelerated nursing program, you will complete a total of 68 credit hours over four full-time semesters. Taught by experienced nursing faculty, our ABSN curriculum blends online coursework with hands-on nursing labs and in-person clinical rotations.
