Oklahoma's parent-taught drivers ed course is an online curriculum led by a parent, who walks their teen through the lessons. Parent-taught courses are recognized by Service Oklahoma and will meet the qualifications to apply for a learner's permit, just as a traditional drivers ed course will.
If you choose to do parent-taught driver education, your teen must complete 55 hours of behind-the-wheel practice with an eligible parent instructor. Aceable provides a driving log in the app’s Resources section to help your teen track their driving practice.
