POAA 2024 has set a new benchmark for arts giving, with the largest number of patrons recognised in the past four decades since the award's inception in 1983. At the same time, the number of new awardees has also surged by 67% compared to the previous year, reaching the highest level post-pandemic.
The 41 st edition of the Patron of the Arts Awards will celebrate and recognise individuals and organisations who have made their contributions between 01 January and 31 December 2023, towards the development of the arts in Singapore.
The 41st edition of the POAA, held on 20 August 2024 at the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel, honoured 389 individuals and 117 organisations for their role in the arts sector. This marked the largest number of acknowledged patrons since the awards’ inception in 1983. Arts can build connections across diverse communities, and inspire critical thinking.
