James Carlos Agravante Yap Sr. (born February 15, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Known by his nickname Big Game James, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play in the PBA.
The Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs acquired James Yap as the second overall draft pick in the 2004 PBA draft. Yap became the main man of the team that led Purefoods through the years. The former UE Red Warrior has won multiple Most Valuable Player awards.
