Play-Doh is a painted aluminum sculpture by Jeff Koons, made between 1994 and 2014. Five copies were made, each measuring approximately 120 × 108 × 108 in. (304.8 × 274.3 × 274.3 cm).

It was in this colossal show that the artist debuted his monumental sculpture, Play-Doh, a sculpture that had already become legendary in the two decades of its creation.
The artwork depicts an assemblage of brightly colored forms that closely resemble a large mound of Play-Doh, as suggested by its title. The vibrant hues of yellow, blue, green, red, orange, purple, and white are intricately sculpted to mimic the texture and appearance of the malleable toy material.

17 Μαρ 2023 · Play-Doh seems to be made from gigantic, randomly scattered shards of the renowned modelling material in Koons’ Celebration series, one of the biggest and most complicated sculptures. However, it is really made up of twenty-seven metal parts that are interlocked together.
