Animal shelter in Prineville, OR Humane Society of the Ochocos is the true no-kill shelter east of the Cascades. Our Mission is to help create a community responsible for animals, to give shelter to stray and abandoned domestic animals, and find them loving, permanent homes.
We are the only No Kill Shelter in Central Oregon. We are located at 1280 S. Tom McCall Rd. Prineville, Oregon 97754. We are a 100% non profit organization and don't recieve any funding from the state and very little from the city or the county for the strays we take in.

This is the only no kill shelter in Central Oregon, that houses about 20 dogs and 10 cats. Plus some rabbits, and some occasional animals that come through here. The staff here is exceptional in every way, very caring and compassionate, and they treat every animal as their own.
