The Procurement Service (PS) was created on October 18, 1978 by virtue of Letter of Instructions (LOI) No. 755 which directed the establishment of an integrated procurement system for the national government and its instrumentalities.
The Procurement Service - Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) in September 2024 graced the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) in San Miguel, Manila to accommodate its request for an in-house training on various procurement matters.
