The approximately 9.4-miles system would pass through the communities of Cedar Hill, Midlothian, Ovilla, Glenn Heights, and Red Oak.

Project Description: The Loop 9, Segment A project includes the construction of a six-lane new location frontage road system between United States 67 (US 67) and Interstate Highway 35 East (IH 35E) through Dallas and Ellis counties, Texas, and is approximately 9.4 miles in length. Project Alternatives 1-4 and Modifications A-D.
The Loop 9 project will: Provide an east-west transportation facility to serve the local communi-ties. Provide a facility to accommodate expanding transportation demands resulting from population growth and economic development in the region.
