I had the same problem; The best solution I figure out was use my android ps app and connect my phone to the pc througt the 3.5 mm jack, then mix the audio. I can hear the ps4 chat party and the games sound.

Sony sent a letter back with the console saying they didn’t fix anything as they couldn’t find the issue. So now I’m confused why the PS5 name has changed and the app sees it as another console.

Because even if you have linked it, every time after that when you re-open the PlayStation app it forces you to either capture an image of a QR code on the screen or enter a code manually.
