10 Ιουλ 2008 · i have been shooting 1 oz, 17 gr Red Dot, Downrangs Purple PC Wad, Win 209 primer in Remington STS/Gun Club hull. My supplier says Purple PC have been discontinued. Does anyone know what wad replaced the Purple PC?

28 Δεκ 2008 · The Purple PC wads are now extinct. Down Range bought that company out and no longer make that wad. As stated before, the Down Range XL-1 would be a good substitute for that wad, as would any of the clones of the WAA12SL wad.
11 Μαρ 2009 · The best substitute for the PC purple that I have found is the downrange DRA1 pink wad. Check the recipes for it as they are likely a little different. It is most similar in size and works as good as the pc purple in the AA-HS 12 gauge hulls for 1 ounce loads.

28 Νοε 2008 · The PC Purple wad is now obsolete. No longer made, Down Range bought their patents and molds several years ago. For 7/8 oz. loads in tapered wall cases, (Rems. and AAs), the Down Range XXL-12 Pink wad is an excellent wad.
