30 Ιουν 2022 · How to seal quarry tiled floors. We recommend sealing with Floorseal Terracotta & Quarry Tile Sealer. This sealing product should be applied in 2 to 3 coats to totally dry tiles. This sealer is a water-based sealer, free from solvents & VOCs, low odour and rapid drying.

Terracotta & Quarry Tile Sealer is for sealing interior terracotta or quarry tiled floors. If you wish to seal exterior tiles you should use a product like Floorseal Natural Stone Colour Enhancer (water-based) or for the deepest colour Premium Stone Enhancer (solvent based).

It’s not hard to seal quarry tile. You should use a sealing compound formulated for unglazed tile. Avoid common substitutes like linseed oil or floor wax. These do not properly seal the tile and may result in discoloration because the tiles will trap dirt. Test the quarry tile to see if it needs to be sealed.
