River North was the first dance company to perform at the world class Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Touring increases significantly, including the first international tour to Germany. WTTW aired its third TV special on RNDC titled “Every Dancer Has a Story” garnering a fourth Emmy.
Workshops throughout the performance season are the most accessible way to become familiar with River North Dance Chicago's iconic style, repertoire and creative process. Designed for pre-teens, teenagers and young adults at an intermediate, advanced or pre-professional level, workshops include Company repertoire, technique and SAED classes.
25 Σεπ 2019 · For choreographer and former River North Dance Chicago director Frank Chaves, this weekend is a reemergence. Since 2005, Chaves has managed syringomyelia, a degenerative spinal cord disease which results in spasticity, chronic pain and loss of mobility.

The movement plays with vocal percussion, car noises, and drums (by Eleventh Hour, Art of Noise, Taiko Drums, and Les Tambours Du Bronx). Moments of stillness and flow interrupt relentless percussive intensity, until the dance careens like screeching tires into blackout.
