On September 5, 2017, it was renamed Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park, after longtime New York State Assembly member Denny Farrell who represented the surrounding area.
Inspired by Japanese rooftop designs, Riverbank State Park is the only park of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. It rises 69 feet above the Hudson River and provides a variety of recreational, athletic, and arts experiences.
