22 Ιαν 2010 · I have an old 3 screw model single six with a serial # 5277**. Is mine a super single six? How can you tell? I do have both .22lr and mag cylinders for it. Does that make it super? If so if I read the chart right it makes it a 1966. I picked it up at the local gander mountain a couple years ago for $175 or $199, I can 't remember which.
29 Δεκ 2021 · Any Ruger firearm made after that had a prefix (60 for Single-Sixes), however guns made before 1969 were allowed to be shipped with Ruger's old serial number scheme .... no prefix. If you read the blurbs in Ruger's "serial number history", it mentions manufacturing date versus shipping date.
For those models that ship with both cylinders, the last 3 digits of the serial number are engraved on the front of the cylinder; only cylinders that have been properly timed should be used with any given revolver. The term Super Single-Six refers to those models which have fully adjustable target sights.
24 Οκτ 2017 · I have been trying to identify the age on Rugers website, but have been having a weird issue identifying it by serial number. It begins with a 61- prefix, but for the life of me I haven't been able to locate it on their page.
