Sandbridge is a coastal community and a beach resort in Virginia Beach, located on the Currituck Banks Peninsula at the northern end of the Outer Banks. It has a humid subtropical climate, a 4.5-mile-long oceanfront, and several condominium complexes and vacation homes.
Sandbridge is the perfect family beach! We have stayed varying distances from the beach. Oceanfront is fabulous! Our favorite is on the canal. It's not a long walk to the beach. We take bicycles and kayaks. It's perfect for the kids to ride bicycles and for longer excursions as a family.
