In the first year, you will learn about the nature of law, including sources of law and the differences between criminal and civil law. You will also explore the English legal system; the courts; how law is made, interpreted and reformed; and how you can qualify as a lawyer.
Law provides an excellent preparation for a wide range of careers, including the police, social work, journalism, criminal psychology, the armed forces and business. It is better to risk saving a guilty man than to condemn an innocent one.
