15 Αυγ 2005 · There are many view on soldering techniques, some say use lots of heat sinks, some say hot tip less time, others say cooler tip more time. I suggest looking at the recomendations of the manufacturer. In the datasheet there is almost always info on soldering tip temperatures and time you can expose it to that much heat etc.

8 Δεκ 2010 · That might help. It makes take a bunch of flux and heating of the flux and adding more flux and more heating before the wire is clean enough for solder to adhere. The flux core of your solder is not going to be enough. Heck, it's barely enough for soldering to a nice clean surface!

But sometimes I replace its 1/16" chisel tip with a much larger 1/4" blade (like a screwdriver blade) that takes some time to reach a proper temperature but it is large enough to hold the heat long enough to solder or desolder something that is pretty ...
19 Ιουλ 2009 · Maybe be soldering you mean "soldering with a pencil or iron" Most circuits are made on printed circuit boards. A paste of solder and flux is applied to the board with a stencil. The parts are placed on the board. The board is headed to cause the paste to melt which solders the parts to the board. I do this to make my hobby PCBs.

Iron photo **broken link removed** The problem is that the black plastic part on my soldering iron is a bit loose and I would like to remove it to see what is wrong. The user manual does not have any instructions on how to remove it.
21 Ιουλ 2012 · If you'll download the 305kB datasheet thats on the Jameco product page in your link, you'll see a small schematic showing that the barrel connection (pin 2) is shorted to pin 3 when the connector is unplugged.
16 Δεκ 2011 · The solder mask is an integral part to doing soldering by hand. Surface tension and flux make it difficult to make bridges. Too much solder is your enemy. In general, you assume that parts will be damaged on removal. There are lots of techniques. See You Tube
