Who conducts the Tax Deed sale? The Escambia County Clerk of Court, 221 S. Palafox Place, Suite 110, conducts the auction online in accordance with Florida Statutes. Please refer to Florida Statutes, Chapter 197, for a more complete understanding of Tax Deeds.
On the advertised day and time, the tax collector auctions and sells a tax certificate on each delinquent parcel. Each item is bid individually, and the certificate is sold to the person bidding the lowest interest rate. Bidding is by electronic input and begins at 18%.
