The Boardwalk is a historic, independent live music venue in the greater Sacramento area. Our mission is to support our local artist community and give back to the community by donating 100% of concert proceeds to local charities.
The Boardwalk, established in 1987 by Mark Earl, has been a historic force in the Sacramento music scene. The Covid-19 pandemic and Earl’s passing in November of 2020 resulted in the permanent closure of the venue in January 2022.

17 Οκτ 2022 · Orangevale’s The Boardwalk is back after announcing its closure earlier this year. After the space’s former owner announced that it would shutter in January, the space and intellectual property rights were purchased by the locally-based Palm Tree Brewing Company.
