The twenty story Republic National Bank building, also called the Davis Building, was the original home of Republic Bank from 1926-1954. At the time of its construction in 1926, this structure was the tallest in Dallas.
The 20-story Davis Building was Hamilton’s first venture in Dallas. Having seen the success of downtown Denver’s transformation, the Hamiltons were pleasantly surprised to find the availability of historic trophy buildings, albeit unoccupied and vacant, that had the potential for repurposing.
