This causes the clock gears to stop and start rotating every second. The lever is designed so that as it is moving out of the escape gear, the gear gives it a little push. This push is enough to keep the pendulum swinging.

6 Δεκ 2015 · I have been wanting to make a wooden geared clock for some time now and I finally got around to buying some plans for one. I bought them from a German named Christopher Blasius from his website Holzmechanik (wood mechanic).
Synchronicity is a unique exposed wood gear pendulum wall clock, with a combination of old and new tech. Many wood gear clocks are driven by weights. These clocks need to be wound periodically, as often as every day. I wanted to build a wood gear clock that did not require that frequent winding.
The Gear train or Going Train is what transmits the power to the Minutes shaft which in turn drives around the Minute hand and then on up to the Escapement shaft which through the Escapement gives an impulse to the pendulum to keep the clock running. It comprises a series of gear pairs i.e.,
