At a formal concert, Tom, dressed in a white tie, plays Franz Liszt 's "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2" on the piano. Jerry, who lives inside the piano, disrupts Tom's performance by mock-conducting him. Tom tries to flick Jerry away but continues playing.
The Cat Concerto is a 1947 American one-reel animated cartoon and is the 29th Tom and Jerry short. A concert is about to be displayed on a stage set in an auditorium. Just then, Tom, a pianist, emerges from one side of the curtains and the audience applauds.
Jerry is pummeled by hammers, bounced by wires, and squeezed by Tom as the cat tries to play the concerto while dispensing with Jerry. Jerry’s defensive antics add to the brio of the program and answer Tom with Jerry’s own skillful musical attack.
