Greece is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. A suburb of Rochester, New York, it is the largest town by population in Monroe County, and the second-largest municipality by population in the county, behind only the city of Rochester.
Greece, New York is located in Monroe County and is five miles northwest of Rochester and sixty-four miles east of Buffalo. It is roughly fifty square miles in size. Its northern most border runs along the shores of Lake Ontario. The Town benefits from easy access to the City of Rochester and surrounding Towns in the Rochester metropolitan area.

From March 2022 through March 2023, in celebration of our town’s bicentennial, the Greece Historical Society produced 54 multimedia podcasts called Bicentennial Snapshots. Each snapshot, averaging five to 10 minutes, explored a different aspect of Greece’s history.
