Torah Judaism refers to schools of thought in Judaism perceived to be most adherent to the Torah and mitzvot. The term is often used by Orthodox Jewish groups to refer to their own system of beliefs. These mitzvot include both the biblical and rabbinic mitzvot.
We Jews value Torah to such an extent that we can never get enough of it. We read it publicly over and over again; we study its every word; we cite its phrases in our everyday speech. Torah is, without a doubt, the basis of our lives as Jews.

TORAH (Heb. תּוֹרָה). The Term. Torah is derived from the root ירה which in the hifil conjugation means "to teach" (cf. Lev. 10:11). The meaning of the word is therefore "teaching," "doctrine," or "instruction"; the commonly accepted "law" gives a wrong impression.
