I have been test deploying the newest version of UVNC on machines that have older working versions on them with public keys stored in the uvnc bvba\UltraVNC folder, and each time the machine is updated from UVNC 1.4.0.9 to 1.4.3.6 for example, it acts like it's a new install and it renders the remote desktop functionality ...

4 Μαΐ 2023 · Other computers at this location do work. Make a copy of the ultravnc.ini of a working computer, and use this on the bad one. ( rename the old ini to see if anything is different) ini files are portable, you can create it on any pc you want. Does it work on the LAN, connect from other pc on the same network to this PC.

18 Φεβ 2019 · I have two items of feedback for the 1.2.2.4 release. 1) This has happened in the last to updates. When I connect to a remote PC and press the capLock key, it actually sends a character. If I am in notepad or in a password field, a character is typed in. I was able to capture and save it using NotePad++ (￥).
30 Αυγ 2005 · For Windows XP/2003 or better: Goto Control Panel, Windows Firewall and turn it off. Try again to connect. If it works, turn the firewall back on, goto the Exceptions tag and "Add Program" (UltraVNC). This needs to be done on both machines. If this still doesn't work go back to the Windows Firewall and "Add Port" 5900.
