To file a Shared Work claim or to certify for weekly benefits, please sign in to your account below or create a new account. If you are not a Shared Work participant, and you need to file a new claim, please go to unemployment.labor.ny.gov to file your first claim for unemployment insurance benefits.
This online system is available for filing new claims Monday through Sunday, 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM Eastern Time. If you are living and/or willing to look for work in the state of New York, you may also file your claim by calling the Telephone Claims Center at 1-888-209-8124 during regular business hours.
Unemployment Insurance is temporary income for eligible workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. Apply the first week that you lose your job.
