Urgh is an AMAZING historical document of live performances by almost every important band of the post-punk era. It captures a time when "alternative" music was truly alternative. There is an edge to the performances that shows how essential all of these musicians were to the development of modern music.
11 Οκτ 2019 · A Music War - A Blast From the Past, Reasonably Priced! I used to work at a video store as a kid and have seen Urgh more times than I can remember. In 1985 it was 89.95 to buy on VHS, so I was pleased to see it priced so low on DVD today. It’s every bit as good as I remember, but with upgraded DVD quality!
Along with music, other aspects of 1980s Pop Culture are revealed- from styles of clothing and hair, to famed places (such as the legendary Whiskey-A-Go-Go). "URGH!" also features a non-musical act, John Cooper Clarke. His poem "Health Fanatic" reflects the exercise craze of the early '80s.
