The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, one of the world's largest public tennis facilities, is home to the US Open and its centerpiece arena, Arthur Ashe Stadium. It is active throughout the year hosting players, programs, and events on the grounds and at its Indoor Training Center.
In July 2008, the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center and Arthur Ashe Stadium hosted its first non-tennis event, when the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) played in the "Liberty Outdoor Classic: 2008".The game itself was the first professional basketball regular season game played outdoors in the USA, by either men or women.
The USTA National Campus is a 64-acre facility in Orlando, Fla., with nearly 100 tennis courts for recreational and competitive players, coaches and spectators. It is also the headquarters of USTA Player Development, Collegiate Tennis and other programs and events.
The USTA’s Community Tennis and Player Development Divisions has their headquarters at the Campus. The Campus also is home to the national training center for USTA-certified officials.
