30 Μαρ 2024 · Much more than a soup kitchen or a food pantry, we offer a unique range of services to sustain and empower those in need and engaging volunteer opportunities in Los Angeles. Welcoming all with joy, dignity, and compassion, we dedicate ourselves every day to Serving Hope in our community.
These agencies are soup kitchens, pantries, shelters, community centers, senior centers, churches, schools and other organizations that receive food from the Food Bank and then distribute it in their local communities to those in need.
For a meaningful team-building experience, join us in Our Big Kitchen to cook meals and give back to the community in a tangible way.
Friday Soup Kitchen. We provide safe space for socializing in the Parish Hall and the courtyard, including sit down dining, access to rest rooms, charging station, an art table, and lending library. Volunteers begin food prep around 2pm. Buffet line opens around 3pm until 5pm.
Slowly but surely, with the support of OBKLA's Advisory Council Founding Chair Avi Hager, they built Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles into a bustling hub of activity where thousands of volunteers have come together to cook and distribute meals to those in need.
