22 Ιαν 2013 · 1. Windows 8/8.1. After a fresh install, the system does not auto activate and when one tries to enter the correct OEM Product Key (extracted from BIOS), it is refused. The trick is to first remove the current Product Key with slmgr /upk, then the OEM key can be entered and activation works flawlessly.
28 Ιουλ 2021 · I recently had an SSD installed at a computer shop, had them make it my primary drive, and had them install Windows 10 on it. Contact the shop, and have them change the Windows Key to your original license. Your own key should have been used and will work. You can always change a disk on a Windows 10 computer. I have done this myself.

15 Ιουν 2022 · One thing looked odd: disklayout.txt has Free space as 1024 KB on a 931 GB partition: But dir and chkdsk both indicate that ~630 GB is available on HDD! Following this article [instead of deleting] I renamed C:\Windows\Servicing\LCU into lcu2, but that had no effect (Auto Recovery launches again).
