When I run the troubleshooter, Windows tells me that there is a problem with the network adapter. I tried removing a working Netgear PCI WiFi adapter from the other PC and installing it in this one. It installs fine and finds the driver, but the wireless adapter will not work either.

I basically have a problem with Windows 7 connecting to my home network. It keeps identifying my home network as unidentified, and it continually does "identifying" until it simply say cannot connect to the Internet.
Here are the steps I have tried: Clicked WiFi bars in System Tray, then "Troubleshoot" then got the message: An unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue. Went to network adapters. LAN and WiFi say Unplugged and Not connected. Ran sfc /scannow from elevated Command Prompt.
