Normally, the "Date and Time Properties" dialog has a third tab "Internet Time" where you can turn on/off the use of a time server, or change where it points. This tab is missing, and Windows is frequently setting itself to the wrong time, which is very frustrating.

10 Οκτ 2024 · You can restart the time service in the Command Prompt (Administrator) using the following commands: net stop w32time . net start w32time . Make sure to run the Command Prompt as an administrator to execute these commands.
After joining the XP machine to the new Windows2000 Server domain, the option for using internet time is no longer present in the "Date and Time" dialog box. I logged off and logged on as local Administrator, but the option is still missing.
Click on the chevron arrow next to the rectangular box and select "time.windows.com" and select update now. You can click on the link on the bottom of the page for further tips on troubleshooting this issue.
23 Σεπ 2005 · the internet time tab will not appear when the computer is part of a domain because it will sync the clock with a domain controller if you want to get around this, you can set it from the command line by using "net time /setsntp:<timeserver>"
27 Ιουλ 2023 · Switch to the Internet Time tab and click Change settings. Check the Synchronize with an Internet time server box and select a time server from the drop-down menu. Click the Update now button to synchronize your computer with the time server.
