19 Σεπ 2012 · If it is not a USB mouse, it has to be a P/S2 mouse. If you plug in a P/S2 device such as a keyboard or mouse while Windows is running, it will not recognize it. You have to reboot the computer with the device plugged in.

As noted, both keyboard and mouse work with any LiveCD I have tried, including (but not limited to) Ubuntu 10.10, Fedora 12, WinXP/UBCD and Seagate DiscWizard. (1) Check the setting in BIOS. Sometimes the support for keyboard/mouse was turned off (rather unlikely in your case) (2) directly connecting the mouse wire to the motherboard USB ports as sometimes the USB hubs may be problematic (3) see if other mouse works fine, if so, maybe mouse problem. 10 Απρ 2014 · I plugged the mouse into all USB ports in the system, but it is shown as an unrecognised device. I searched in google and found to disable the Legacy USB device option in boot menu. I did it, but still the mouse won't work.
