26 Νοε 2011 · Yes, I have a USB 3.0 Patriot Memory Supersonic 32GB flashdrive that I bought a few months ago. On USB 3.0 it runs 100MB/s read, 70MB/s write. On USB 2.0 it runs max 2.0 speeds. I've used it on my Xbox and it works perfectly and passes all the 360's required tests.
Your flash drive will be fine. The only write cycles would be when you install the game to the flash drive, provided you don’t save to the flash drive. So it is basically a read-only drive in practical terms if you adhere to using it solely to install games.
Flashing is real difficult on modern hardware, so before starting, if possible, get hold of hardware from 2008 – 2015. Put your hard drive SATA-mode to IDE so your computer easily recognizes the drive when connected to PC. If you don’t have access to older hardware, take a look in your BIOS.
