20 Μαΐ 2010 · I am working on a laptop with Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3. Yesterday all of my folders on my desktop disappeared. The shortcuts that I have for programs and shortcuts to other folders, as well as the other standard Desktop icons (Recycle Bin, My Documents, My Computer) still remain.
20 Μαΐ 2010 · What happens when you right-click the Desktop > Arrange icons > Show Desktop icons? If Show Desktop icons is missing you need to change a registry key, so create a System Restore point first.
23 Μαρ 2011 · Kill process > explorer.exe from task manager. Copy a clean and fresh copy of explorer.exe from a stable machine. Paste in : C:\WINDOWS\ Replace existing explorer.exe. 27 Ιαν 2011 · I am not able see any desktop icons, taskbar in my Windows XP system. Also none of the keyboard shortcuts like Win Key + R, Win Key + E are not working. Yesterday I installed AVG 9.0 in my machine and was working fine.
