I absolutely love the Yaesu FT-817 for all the reasons stated by the others, but here is my wish list for the perfect FT-817-Mark-II... Direct fequency entry via keypad on mic. This is a massive oversight by Yaesu. Direct frequency input by taping the Tune dial and rotating for each digit of the desired frequency.
