Google Flights is an aggregate site, so they're not actually selling you the ticket, they're showing you all of the different options for websites/companies you can buy the ticket through. Some of those companies are going to be way, way less reliable than others.

It's changing my life! I used to use expedia or skyscanner, but nothing has come close to the amazingly helpful interface Google launched recently. SO useful in looking for the best time to fly at the best price. Interested to hear if anyone has had the same experience.
12 Μαΐ 2023 · I have been using that page (https://www.google.com/travel/flights) for at least 5 years to see what flights are available and the results were more or less reliable. It is quite unlikely to be a scam. There are many possible reasons for the price mismatch though.
