19 Μαρ 2024 · I am using an old HP laptop running Windows 10. I have searched and tried everything I’ve found, I cannot get McAfee off my computer. It’s constantly running, taking up memory and disk space, and ending the task in task manager does nothing. My computer is already using Windows Defender, bur McAfee just. Won’t. Close.

28 Μαρ 2023 · Hi Danny, I am Dave, I will help you with this. Sometimes McAfee utilities come pre-installed on PC's, if you are using Windows 11 Security you are fully protected and you do not need any more protection and you can safely uninstall that McAfee utility.

27 Σεπ 2016 · I recently purchased a dell laptop (windows 10 )with a free trial of McAfee. I do not wish to use McAfee so I uninstalled the program via add/remove programs. I noted some McAfee files remained on my PC, therefore I also ran MCPR tool. The files are still there. if I search for McAfee on my laptop I am still finding files.

Open the folder and there is an executable as stated in the reply. If anything updated and brought the Mcafee back, I don't know what it could be. Plus, I just don't see how it could get installed without my permission and wake my PC and close and reopen 365 up in the process. Very ...
