1 Δεκ 2022 · I have had the same issue. Opening it in a new private window and logging in to Whatsapp Web remains in English. Doing this in a standard Edge browser windows logs me in with the German language. My browser settings are set to English UK, as is my system, and I am in the UK.

However, you BREAK it IF YOU LEAVE the browser OPEN at work, go home, use WhatsApp Web again (now it's open on 2 browsers at the same time. The browser at work will now LOG OFF).

EDIT: It's launching now! I didn't do anything but thanks to all those who reached out to WhatsApp and made the thread popular. I've tried to fix this problem twice but it doesn't go away. Every time I double click the whatsapp desktop shortcut, the cursor loads for a second, then nothing happens. Whatsapp does not launch.
