Double click on the DEB file to open and install with the Ubuntu Software Center, or from the command line with: sudo dpkg -i whatsapp-webapp_1.0_all.deb. Select WhatsApp from your Dash or Applications menu to start.
22 Απρ 2021 · "WhatsApp messages on computer without a mobile phone" , install anbox if you r on linux , you can also go for androidx86 install in virtualbox if you want the full experience and you can even install a full os like remix os on either virtualbox, or in dual boot(i recommend you anbox,cause you just need to use whatsapp, you can find many manuals on web on how to install it )

28 Ιαν 2019 · Use Chrome browser to go to https://web.whatsapp.com and follow the instructions to connect your phone. Go to Chrome settings ⇒ More tools ⇒ Create shortcut. Check "Open as window" and press "Create". This will create a desktop launcher to Whatsapp web that opens in its own window. Allow desktop notifications (if needed).
31 Δεκ 2021 · There is still no way to install a native Linux application for whatsapp, so I always use whatsapp's webapp with my daily browser (chromium based brave-browser). Everything works [mostly] fine, except when I need to click on a whatsapp link in a web site, that is supposed to open a conversation with a certain new cell phone number.

To do this in Ubuntu 16.04 (and if I remember correctly is exactly the same in Ubuntu 14.04), just go to "System Settings" -> "Network" -> "Proxy", and delete (left in blank) the socks server line and left port in 0. You don't need to apply this -system wide-, just in the user you want to authenticate in Whatsapp Web.
